I generally agree with his thought process, especially the "transparency" of medical costs. With Anthem you actually have to call customer service to find out where you are with your deductible even though they have a web site with the detailed info and send out papers for each claim. You would think they could summarize it somewhere.
I'm a big proponent of HSA's and high deductible policies. I know they have caused us to pay more attention to our medical decisions.
